Description

Expected Impact:

It is expected that the scheme will have a substantial, concrete and measurable impact in terms of biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, capacity building, awareness raising etc. Applicants will elaborate on this particular aspect, estimating and describing the potential impacts of the small grants they expect to manage. See sections 2 and 9 of the Call document.

Objective:

Set up a small grant facility for projects in the EU Outermost Regions (ORs) and the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) on biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and sustainable use of ecosystem services, including ecosystem-based approaches to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Scope:

Further unlock the local potential for biodiversity action in the EU's ORs and OCTs, and to foster the implementation of concrete conservation activities in those areas aiming at protecting nature and reversing the degradation of ecosystems. See section 2 of the Call document
