Description
The specific objectives of this call are the following:
- encouraging intercultural dialogue with third countries not associated to the programme and increasing tolerance through online people-to-people interactions, building on digital, youth-friendly technologies;
- promoting various types of virtual exchanges as a complement to Erasmus+ physical mobility, allowing more young people to benefit from intercultural and international experience;
- Enhancing critical thinking and media literacy, particularly in the use of internet and social media, such as to counter discrimination indoctrination, polarization and violent radicalisation;
- fostering the digital and soft skills development of students, young people and youth workers, including the practice of foreign languages and teamwork, notably to enhance employability;
- promoting citizenship and the common values of freedom, tolerance and non-discrimination through education;
- strengthening the youth dimension in the relations of the EU with third countries.

- Southern Mediterranean Countries
- Russian Federation
- Sub-Saharan Africa
- ERASMUS-EDU-2021-VIRT-EXCH-IPA - Virtual Exchanges with the Western Balkans
This is for the following region
- Western Balkans
Since there is a different e-form for each topic, you have to make sure to use the correction topic for the region you will work with.

Available budget: total available budget EUR 4.000.000 distributed as follows:
ERASMUS-EDU-2021-VIRT-EXCH-IPA Virtual Exchanges with the Western Balkans with a total budget of 1 000 000 EUR, with a maximum grant of EUR 500,000 per project.
ERASMUS-EDU-2021-VIRT-EXCH-NDICI Virtual Exchanges with other Specific Regions: with a total budget of 3 000 000 EUR distributed in the following envelopes by geographic regions:
o Eastern Neighbourhood EUR 750.000 with a maximum grant of EUR 500,000 per project
o Southern Neighbourhood EUR 750.000, with a maximum grant of EUR 500,000 per project
o Sub-Saharan Africa EUR 1.000.000, with a maximum grant of EUR 500,000 per project and
o Russia EUR 500.000, with a maximum grant of EUR 500,000 per project
The results of the evaluation are as follows:
Number of proposals submitted (including proposals transferred from or to other calls): 58 (23 IPA and 35 NDICI)
Number of inadmissible proposals: -
Number of ineligible proposals: 17 (6 IPA and 11 NDICI)
Number of above-threshold proposals: 17 (5 IPA and 12 NDICI)
Total budget requested for above-threshold proposals: EUR 5.020.179,70 (EUR 1.206.171,66 IPA and EUR 3.814.008,04 NDICI)
