Description
- Making children aware of their right to participate and have their voices heard;
- Making child participation mechanisms inclusive and systemic;
- Implementing actions and recommendations of the EU Strategy on the rights of the child;
- Improving capacity building, the exchange of good practice, training on the rights and needs of children;
- Defining guidelines and guidance and improving data collection;
- improving allocation, planning and monitoring of resources and funds on promotion and protection of the rights of the child;
- Raising awareness of, and investing in capacity building;
- Providing adequate support to children with specific vulnerabilities.
This call for proposals aims at supporting, advancing and implementing comprehensive policies to protect and promote the rights of the child, including the right to participate. It responds to children’s current needs and challenges in the EU, through four priorities:
- Children’s mental health
- Embedding a rights of the child perspective in actions at national and local level
- Children’s engagement and participation
- Understanding democratic rights, which starts in childhood
This call pays specific attention to the rights of children with specific needs and vulnerabilities, including those who fled the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
This call focuses on implementation of the actions and recommendations at the EU, national and local level established in the relevant strands of the EU Strategy on the rights of the child. Projects can be national or transnational. Transnational projects are particularly encouraged.

Budget table Lump-sumType II - (the budget table can also be downloaded during submission). The CHILD call is a lump sums type II call. The use of this table is mandatory to calculate the budget. The calculated amount must correspond to the budget mentioned in Part A of the proposal.

The results of the evaluation were communicated to the applicants via the Funding and Tenders Portal on 8 August 2024.
Summary of the results:
· Award of grant to 23 proposals for the amount of EUR 11.942.738,15 (out of the total indicative budget of EUR 12.000.000 foreseen for this call)
· 8 projects are placed on the reserve list for the amount of EUR 4.081.627,18
· Rejection of 185 proposals for lack of budget
· Rejection of 150 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality
· Rejection of 8 ineligible proposals
PROPOSAL NUMBERS
Call CERV-2024-CHILD has closed on 26 March 2024.
374 proposals have been submitted.
Evaluation results are expected to be communicated in September 2024.
