Description

Scope:

With this call, divided into 5 priorities, we aim at financing projects that will:

  • integrate prevention of various forms of gender-based violence against women in different contexts, with a systemic approach (priority 1, “large-scale projects”)
  • tackle harmful practices against women and girls (priority 2)
  • prevent gender-based violence by tackling its root causes (priority 3)
  • support and improve national data collection on violence against children (priority 4)
  • strengthen responses that prevent and support child victims of violence by reinforcing child protection systems at national and local level (priority 5)

In 2022 the call had 5 Priorities:

  • Priority 1 - Large-scale and long-term transnational actions to tackle gender-based violence. Trans-national proposals are expected to focus on one of the following areas: domestic violence, harmful practices, gender-based cyber-violence, violence and harassment in the world of work.
    • Indicative budget: EUR 12 000 000
    • 39 eligible proposals were received
  • Priority 2 - Combating and preventing violence linked to harmful practices   
    • Indicative budget:  EUR 6 000 000
    • 14 eligible proposals were received
  • Priority 3 – Primary prevention of gender-based violence
    • Indicative budget:  EUR 7 000 000
    • 145 eligible proposals were received
  • Priority 4 – Supporting and improving national data collection on violence against children
    • Indicative budget:  EUR 3 000 000
    • 14 eligible proposals were received
  • Priority 5 – Strengthening responses that prevent and support child victims of violence by reinforcing child protection systems at national and local level
    • Indicative budget:  EUR 2 500 000
    • 46 eligible proposals were received

The results of the evaluation were communicated to the applicants via the Funding and Tenders Portal on 25 October 2022.

Summary of the results:

Under the Priority 1 of the call

·     Award a grant to 7 proposals for the amount of EUR 10.433.337,45. While the total indicative budget for this priority is equal to EUR 12.000.000, EUR 1.566.662,55 will be shifted to fund more projects under priority 3.

·     Place 3 proposals on the reserve list for the amount of EUR 4.756.857,74

·     Reject 9 proposals for lack of budget

·     Reject 20 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality

 

Under the Priority 2 of the call

·     Award a grant to 10 proposals for the amount of EUR 5.598.905,30. While the total indicative budget for this priority is equal to EUR 6.000.000, EUR 401.094,70 will be shifted to fund more projects under priority 3.

·     Place no proposal on the reserve list

·     Reject 1 proposal for lack of budget

·     Reject 3 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality

·     Reject 2 inadmissible/ineligible proposals


Under the Priority 3 of the call

·     Award a grant to 17 proposals for the amount of EUR 8.957.749,99 (out of the total indicative budget of  EUR 7.000.000 foreseen for this Priority, plus a budget reinforcement of EUR 1.967.757,25 coming from left-overs of priorities 1 and 2) 

·     Place 5 proposals on the reserve list for the amount of EUR 2.762.687,72

·     Reject 50 proposals for lack of budget

·     Reject 73 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality

·     Reject 8 inadmissible/ineligible proposals


Under the Priority 4 of the call

·     Award a grant to 6 proposals for the amount of EUR 2.881.262,31 (out of the total indicative budget of  EUR 3.000.000 foreseen for this Priority, the left-over of EUR 118.737,69 is transferred to Priority 5) 

·     Place 3 proposals on the reserve list for the amount of EUR 1.223.300,78

·     Reject 3 proposals for lack of budget

·     Reject 2 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality


Under the Priority 5 of the call

·     Award a grant to 6 proposals for the amount of EUR 2.639.983,30 (the total indicative budget of  EUR 2.500.000 foreseen for this Priority has been reinforced with the left-over from Priority 4) 

·     Place 3 proposals on the reserve list for the amount of EUR 1.562.607,28

·     Reject 21 proposals for lack of budget

·     Reject 16 proposals due to insufficient relevance and/or quality

  •   Reject 1 ineligible proposal
